Vietnamese Americans

This module presents information on issues in geriatric care for Vietnamese older adults living in the United States. Information on demographics and health risks are presented to emphasize the effect of tradition as well as immigration and refugee experiences on the health of Vietnamese older adults. Also included are information on barriers to care and suggestions for assessment and treatment of older adults Vietnamese.

This module presents the small amount of information that is available related to health status and health care of older adults from Pakistani backgrounds in the U.S.

It includes some background on the population and traditional health beliefs as well as important clinical considerations.
